Lady Isabella Lodge 10017

The Lady Isabella Lodge started the year with the initiation of 2 new Brothers. Bro Paul Crystal CP carried out his first initiations, initiating Bro Patrick Ayres and Bro Christopher Seed and welcomes them to the order.

This is after a successful 2011 with 5 initiations with the loss of just one of them in the year. There is how ever pleanty of room in the lodge room for even more new Brothers.

The lodge is now waiting to move to there new premises on the 7th of March. Due to the New Inn in Laxey closing the Lodge will be move just down the road to the Bridge Inn where it moved from a few years ago.

We now look forward to welcoming all comers over the remainder of the year to our new Lodge room.

Grand Minstrel Investiture

22 March 2008

The investiture of David Brown R.O.H. took place at the Grand Island Hotel on Saturday the 22 March 2008. It started at 1800 with the opening of the Special meeting by Bro Peter Blower P.G.P. of the Isle of Man Province. Bro Peter accepted the salutations of a number of visiting lodges and provinces, before the Grand Chamberlain, introduced the Grand Primo the Deputy Grand Primo and his Officers for 2008 along with the past Grand Primo's of their years along with past Grand Lodge Officers.

The Grand Primo Bro J.J.Wilson R.O.H. accepted the conduct of the special meeting and proceeded to greet the Guest of Honour His Honour Deemster Michael Kerruish The Deputy Governor of the Isle of Man.

The Guard of Honour consisting members of the Pride of Mona Lodge 10017 and Personal friends were introduced and welcomed by the Grand Primo.

Bro Dave Brown was then introduced to the Grand Primo along with his Sponsors and welcomed into the special meeting.His sponsors, Bro Karl David Brown K.O.M., Bro Mick Walker R.O.H. Grand Primo 2006, Bro David Roberts R.O.H. Grand Registrar 2000 and Bro Howell Davies R.O.H. Grand Minstrel 2000, gave their recomendations, which were both serious and funny, on bro Dave, Which the Grand Primo accepted

The Ceremony was then carried out by the Grand Primo followed by a number of toasts and responses.

There then took place a number of presentations of Gifts to the Grand Primo, Guest of Honour, and Grand Lodge Officers and their Ladies. The Ceremony finished the P.G.P. closed the Special meeting

The investiture was then followed by a social evening with a large Raffle and Buffet, which was enjoyed by all. The night was a great success. A night for Bro Dave to look back on, along with his Family and friends and all those who took part or were there to witness.
